Tadoba National Park is a dream destination for wildlife and adventure enthusiasts. This is the oldest wildlife reserve in Maharashtra, situated in the Chandrapur district. Spread across a vast area, Tadoba National Park is categorised into several zones. The areas covering the denser parts of the national park are the core zones, and the regions surrounding the core zones are the buffer zones. Most of the Tadoba zones offer only jeep safaris, while a few zones offer both jeep and canter safaris. Since the safaris are the central attraction of Tadoba National Park, tourists need to book their safaris in advance through the online portal. Please take note that only jeep safaris are allowed to be booked online. On the contrary, canter safaris can only be booked by visiting the ticket booking counter in Tadoba. The safari seats can only be secured on the basis of availability. While booking for a Tadoba wildlife safari, it is important to know about all the safari zones, their respective entry gates and their location and distance from the starting point from where tourists are coming.
Located on the northern edge of the Tadoba National Park, the Ramdegi / Navegaon Safari Gate allow tourists to enter the Khagsangi Zone. Although it is a buffer zone, the entry gate is quite popular among tourists, especially photography enthusiasts. The Ramdegi / Navegaon Safari Gate remain open during the monsoon season since the Khagsangi is a buffer zone. However, the gate remains close on Wednesday. Tourists opting for a jeep safari ride in the Khagsangi Zone can reserve their safari through Ramdegi / Navegaon Safari Gate in advance through online booking.
