Tadoba National Park is one of the must-visit destinations in India for wildlife lovers. This renowned tiger reserve is located in Maharashtra’s Chandrapur district and is home to a lot of animals and bird species. In order to explore the national park thoroughly, tourists need to embark on safari rides to enter the national park. There are two types of safaris available in Tadoba National Park - Jeep and Canter. Canter safaris are only available in Kolara and Moharli Zones and are available only for offline booking. Jeep safaris, on the other hand can be booked online in advance. Tadoba receives tourists’ footfall throughout the year, even during the monsoon season. Therefore, it is crucial to book the jeep safari at least 90 days prior to the preferred date. Before planning a Tadoba wildlife tour, it is important for tourists to know about the layout of Tadoba National Park. The wildlife destination is categories in core and buffer safari zones. All these zones can be accessed by their respective entry gates. A single zone can have more than one entry gate.
There are 6 core entry gates and 16 buffer entry gates. The Sirkada Safari Entry Gate is at the eastern side of Tadoba National Park and provides access to the Shioni buffer zone. The gate is set up quite close to the border of the Shioni and Palasgaon buffer zone and is just 6.6 km away from the Palasgaon safari entry gate. A few staying options are also available near the Sirkada Gate. Only jeeps are allowed to enter through this gate, and it remains open during the monsoon season.
